The Campaign started with an unveiling and exhibition event in Amsterdam.
The exhibition was designed to emphasize the marriage of classical art and technology worlds. The painting and the codes that made it possible were exhibited side by side. Supporting materials which explain the creation of The Next Rembrandt gave the visitors the chance to learn more about the process.

Via an online launch film, people were invited to the campaign website.
On Nextrembrandt.com viewers could dive deeper into the process of creating the painting.

Finally a 20 minute documentary added another layer to the campaign focusing on the battle of man versus machine, sparking a global conversation about where data and technology can take us.
The art direction of the campaign was made to bring together the art & technology aspects. In order to do this we researched 17th century typefaces and graphics. From there, we crafted a design language to reflect the era of Rembrandt. The graphics helped us to make this complicated subject easier to understand.
The Next Rembrandt created a big debate, all the leading news channels and art and tech blogs were reporting about the fading boundaries between technology and humanity.
